Testing/QA Engineer
Job Description
We are looking for a Test Engineer to join our team. As a Test Engineer you will be responsible for planning and implementing tests. You will be capable of design/conduct tests, analyze the results and report the observation in order to ensure it would function properly and fit its purpose as well as meets the business needs. You should have a working knowledge of different types of domain of software with good communication skills, and up-to-date knowledge of and software test design.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring the quality of the system as a whole
- Test and prove that the software meets major architectural requirements
- Reviewing software requirements and preparing test scenarios.
- Detecting bugs, preparing/filing bug reports, writing bug summary report and analyzing bug reports as required/on functionality, performance and usability
- Preparing artifacts and reports on all aspects related to the software testing carried out and reporting to the development/management team.
- Participating in design reviews and providing input on requirements, product design, and potential problems.
Requirements
- Bachelors in Computer Science or a related field
- Posses 3-4 years of experience in Software Testing or similar role
- Understand QA and application development life cycle of Web APP, Mobile APP, and IOT systems
- Knowledge of wide range of Open Source Software System, Mobile APPS and location-based services
- Experience of working in an agile environment
- Excellent knowledge in testing skill, setting up of test environments, designing test plans, test strategy, developing test cases/scenarios/usage cases, and executing these cases, opening bugs, verifying bugs.
- Experience of creating test cases for functionality. UAT, integration tests, Web APP, mobile APP and IOT system
- Skilled in methods/techniques of functional and non-functional testing such as Black/Whitebox, UAT, SQL Testing, boundary analysis, smoke, sanity, regression, stress, load, performance, compatibility test, UI/UX test, performance testing etc.
- Understanding the basic SQL/programming concept
- Skilled in using testing tools of bug tracking and management tools like JIRA, Zephyr, qTest, Mantis and automated tools like Selenium J-mete and blaze meter preferable or any similar to these
- Critical thinker, problem-solving skills, Good time-management skills, interpersonal skills, communication skill, needs to be tactful and diplomatic to maintain a good working relationship with the software developers, ability to work under pressure and maintain deadlines
