HR Assistant

Job Description

We are looking for a HR Assistant to undertake all HR activities, from advertising open roles to ensuring staff compliance with HR policies.

HR Assistant responsibilities include actively leading the hiring process, conducting telephonic screening, keeping records of candidates, coordinating with potential candidates and facilitating job interviews, negotiation salaries, and supporting hiring managers. HR Assistant will also be responsible for ensuring staff compliance with HR policies, recording and resolving relevant issues and communicating with staff members about HR policy related issues.

Ultimately, you will be responsible for hiring qualified people while maintaining a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and post job ads online and coordinate hiring activities
  • Recruitment support including  resume screening, shortlisting, generating pools.
  • Conducting initial telephonic interviewsActively takeover the induction process for new staff.
  • Designing interview question, negotiating packages
  • Train and advise hiring managers on interviewing techniques and assessment methods
  • Implement and adhere to administrative support of the organization.
  • Process background checks and Maintain candidate database
  • Track hiring metrics including time-to-hire, time-to-fill and source of hire
  • Help define job description and document specifications 
  • Schedule interviews and keep calendars for all hiring teams and candidates
  • Greet and assist interviewees onsite
  • Resolve recruitment related issues quickly (e.g. interview cancellations, timing coordination, rescheduling, and follow ups)
  • Resolve HR policy implementation related issues quickly (hiring and termination of contracts, responding to salary and leave related queries, tracking compliance of employees with working hours, ensuring compliance with HR policies)

Requirements/Skills

  • Good understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and procedures.
  • HR practices and standard conditions of employment.
  • Have knowledge of MS Office. 
  • Hands on experience in accounting practices. 
  • Relevant degree level qualification (Accounting & HR).
  • Great communication skills
  • Ability to write professional emails
  • Proven experience as Recruitment Assistant or other recruiting-related role
  • Complete command on Job posting platforms and websites like Glassdoor
  • Experience using recruiting software and social networks for recruiting
  • Ability to work effectively and enthusiastically.
  • Ability to respond to and resolve uncomfortable professional situations
  • Ability to identify and resolve administrative issues related to HR
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
